The $10 Triple Match ticket offers a chance to win between AU$10 and AU$250,000, with the odds of winning the top prize at 1 in 465,150. The Lott confirmed the man’s win, making him one of the lucky winners of more than AU$12.5m ($8.3m) in top prizes during FY25.

In his conversation with The Lott, the winner, still in disbelief, shared, “It’s been such a whirlwind of excitement, and things are only just starting to sink in.” He also reflected on the surprising nature of the win, commenting, “Funnily enough, I received the ticket as a birthday gift in a card from one of my close mates. What are the odds?”

The lucky man, who has already shared the good news with his mother, plans to invest part of the prize and buy a home. The first thing on his to-do list, however, is to celebrate by taking his family out for tea.
